As they travel deeper into the mangrove swamp, their boat is suddenly capsized by an unseen force. Jim is dragged underwater, screaming, and disappears. The three survivors manage to cling to the branches of a nearby tree, terrified and stranded. With no sign of Jim and their boat overturned, they realize a massive saltwater crocodile is stalking them.
A Desperate Struggle for Survival
Trapped in the swamp, Grace, Adam, and Lee must figure out a way to escape. The boat, still floating nearby but overturned, becomes their only hope. Adam attempts to reach it, but the crocodile attacks, fatally wounding him. He dies in the water as Grace and Lee helplessly watch.
With Adam gone, the sisters are left alone. Starving, dehydrated, and exhausted, they try different ways to retrieve the boat. Grace eventually manages to swim to it, but the crocodile attacks again, nearly killing her. She barely makes it back to the tree.

As night falls, Lee falls into the water and is dragged away. Believing her sister to be dead, Grace, now alone, decides to take one final chance. She retrieves a nearby stick and uses it as a weapon. When the crocodile attacks again, she stabs it multiple times, seemingly killing it.
However, the moment she relaxes, the crocodile lunges at her one last time. In a desperate struggle, she kills it for good. Exhausted and traumatized, Grace finds Lee alive, barely clinging to life. She carries her sister and slowly makes her way through the swamp in search of help.

The film ends ambiguously, with Grace walking through the water, carrying Lee as the sun rises. Their final fate is left uncertain.
