THE FINAL CHASE BEGINS
Few movie car chases have the sheer amount of destruction found in The Blues Brothers.
Released in 1980 and directed by John Landis, the movie follows Jake and Elwood Blues as they attempt to save the orphanage where they were raised.

Near the end of the film, their mission reaches its most chaotic stage.
The Bluesmobile is being pursued by a huge number of police vehicles as Jake and Elwood race through Chicago.
What follows is an extended sequence of crashes, jumps, wrecked police cars, narrow escapes, and increasingly unbelievable driving.
JAKE AND ELWOOD ARE ALMOST OUT OF OPTIONS

Now the police are closing in.
Their black-and-white Bluesmobile races through Chicago while officers attempt to stop them.
Instead of slowing down, the brothers continue toward their destination.
The chase moves through Lower Wacker Drive and eventually toward Richard J.
Daley Plaza.
The brothers even casually discuss their location while being chased by dozens of police vehicles.
That deadpan attitude is one of the funniest parts of the entire sequence.
